Ioannes etc.

Venerabilis Domine, frater sincere dilecte.

Quae cum litteris nepotis nostri, quas cum aliis remittimus, et ea, quae proxime Fraternitas Vestra scripsit, accepimus, ex eoque rumor[e] non parum affecti sumus. Consolatur tamen nos venerabilis dominus doctor Hosius, ecclesiae nostrae cantor et canonicus, iis, quae III-a(!) huius ad no[s] scripsit venisse novum a domino Nicolao Maczeyowski, in Russ[ia] circa fines Hungariae agenti, quod octo diebus recentius, p[ost]quam illud de clade, Germanicum nempe exercitum sexaginta millia Turcorum profligasse. Quod utinam Dominus Deus verum faciat.
