Council of Royal Prussia do Sigismund I Jagiellon
Graudenz (Grudziądz) [1537-10-04]
Regest angielski: The Prussian Council asks the King to offer his judgment on the Brandenburg Elector (Joachim II Hohenzollern) inviting Gdańsk Castellan Achatius von Zehmen to Berlin to discuss confidential matters of great importance. During the assembly in Grudziądz, von Zehmen asked the Prussian Council for advice as to how he should react to the Elector’s summons. Because the Elector’s letter suggested that the matters in question concerned lands ruled by the Polish King, the Council proposed that von Zehmen notify the King and ask him for instructions as to the planned talks. The Prussian Council asks the King to inform von Zehmen of his will; von Zehmen will await an answer in Poznań until October 21.
