Qui cupies dextros superum laevosque meatus
Scire, breves specta, lector, ephemeridas,
Confecit teneris iuvenis quas doctus in annis.
Arte sequens priscos ingenioque viros!
Certa vetustorum sectans vestigia vatum
Fastidit sciolos pravaque scripta novos.
Nunc iuvenes igitur, senior, non sperne disertos!
His solet ingenii praecoqua vena fore.
Si quos livor edax inter praecordia vexat,
Invideant! Merito laedere sed nequeunt.
