Reverendissimo in Christo Patri et Domino meo observandissimo, domino ⌊Ioanni Dantisco⌋ episcopo Culmensi
Fuit mihi iamdiu cum ⌊Gratiano Aldereto⌋ arctissima amicitia, tum ob singulares virtutes, quibus ipsum praeditum esse cognovi, tum ob insignem eruditionem, qua cuivis nostrae nationis facile conferri potest. ⌊Is⌋ tuae in se gratitudinis et benevolentiae ac in omnes studiosos humanitatis memor volensque suae in te affectioni et observantiae, ut par erat, respondere, nulla alia re inductus ⌊filiam tuam⌋ naturalem indotatam, derelictam, et tuo, et omnium praesidio destitutam uxorem duxit cum maximo omnium applausu.
Mihi fuit longe gratissimum videre in ⌊homine⌋ numeratae tantum amicitiae fervorem, ut tui memoria omnes alias difficultates superaret, neque spe pretii, quod in praesentiarum ubique maximi fit, ⌊eam⌋ acceperet, sed tantum, quod tua filia esset. Et propterea amicorum omnium et meae praesertim partes sunt Dominationem Tuam Reverendissimam admonere, ut et ⌊filiae⌋, ac ⌊generi⌋ memor tuae dignitati, erga filiam pietati et erga generum humanitati correspondere velis, quo officio te digna praestitisse et unico munere ambobus consuluisse videberis, me autem ita devinctum reddes, ut neminem sis habiturus in ⌊Hispania⌋, qui tui sit magis studiosus.

Litterae Dominationis Tuae per ⌊Gratianum⌋ mihi redditae, quibus meis super coniugio ipsius cum ⌊Ioanna Dantisca⌋ filia tua ad te datis satisfacis,
tametsi multis nominibus fuere gratae, duabus tamen de causis fuere longe gratiores. Altera, quod tuae essent meique memoriam apud te adhuc vigere cognovissem, altera, quod munificentiam et favorem tuum ⌊Gratiano⌋, ubi matrimonium legitime contraxisse accepisses, ingenue pollicebaris. Mihi enim, qui ipsum neque immerito amo atque Dominationem Tuam Reverendissimam (uti par est) colo, nil accidere poterat gratius, quam erga ⌊filiam tuam⌋ liberalem et ingenuum nec minus legitimum ⌊Gratiani⌋ amorem et tuae liberalitatis et erga utrumque paternae pietatis specimen contemplari.
Cum vero ipsi, acceptis tuis litteris, nihil fuerit potius, quam iussis tuis obtemperare ac liberalis et optimi viri officium, ut desiderari amplius nihil posset, praestare, reliquum est Dominationi Tuae et genero et filiae, quo commodius matrimonii onus sufferre queant, adesse eosque sua innata munificentia iuvare ac fovere, ne ambo, qui se tuae fidei crediderunt, spe tam iuste concepta frustrentur et ⌊Gratianus⌋, qui in matris connubiis et ⌊filiae tuae⌋ iocalibus non modicam pecuniarum summam consumpsit, inopia prematur, quod et tua dignitate et sua virtute atque eruditione esset indignissimum.
