Sigismundus, Dei gratia rex Poloniae, magnus dux Lithuaniae, Russiae, Prussiae, Mazoviaeque etc. dominus et heres.

Reverende in Christo pater, sincere nobis dilecte.

Redditae sunt nobis Paternitatis Tuae litterae, quibus nos de revocatione sua multum obsecrat et declarat nobis istam suam longi temporis a patria absentiam esse sibi in exilii versam molestiam. Quod Paternitatis Tuae redeundi ad nos desiderium etsi nos non secus permovet, quam ut illius de nobis fides et merita postulant, quia tamen, ut prius Paternitati Vestrae scripsimus, incumbit nobis hoc tempore de rebus summe gravibus et in re publica Christiana praecipuis cum caesarea maiestate tractandi necessitas, adduci non possumus, ut nunc ex isto loco Paternitatem Tuam avocare debeamus. Commodiorem enim nobis Paternitas Vestra, quam quivis alius, in rebus istic agendis praestare potest operam, quae tot annis in aula caesareae maiestatis versata et condiciones personarum et commoditatem temporum cum officiorum ratione coniunctam experientia didicit et industria sua firmavit. Quare Paternitatem Tuam hortamur, ut pro suo erga nos officio moram istam suam nobis necessariam perferat et aequo animo tamdiu sustineat, quamdiu caesarea maiestas Germaniam non relinquit. Nos enim cum primum maiestatem suam ex Germania egressam cognoscemus, Paternitatem Tuam revocare in patriam nihil morabimur.
