English register:

Dantiscus is re-sending his letter of 10 January to De Schepper together with the then-enclosed letters to friends because he has learned that the entire package was lost by the Cracow burgher [Jan Morstein] who was supposed to have given it to the Fuggers' factor, Georg Hegel.

[Mi carissime frater] Corneli.

Postquam intellexissem post illas, quas nudius tertius, hoc est prima huius, ad te dedi, quod meae X-a Ianuarii novissime ad te datae interierint, ad quas te remisi, ne putes tibi imponi, iussi ex schedis istas transscribi, quas amanuensis in omnem eventum servare solet. Quomodo autem fasciculus ille litterarum per eum, qui civis fuit Cracoviensis et illas Georgio Hegel Fuggarorum factori ex Thoronia reddendas acceperat, perditus sit, me praeterit. Puto autem nesci[o] quid subesse. Omnia apud nos, quod prius non fuit, fiunt suspecta. Brevi, quomodo res acta sit, experiemur. Haec te latere nolui, ut scias ad te et alias omnes esse duplicatas, quas non misissem, nisi illarum a me in novissimis facta fuisset mentio, ne, amici mei, putaretis me confingere, quod semper, ut nosti, a me fuit alienissimum.
