List #5766
Alfonso de VALDÉS do Ioannes DANTISCUS[Augsburg], [1530-10-31 — 1530-11-05]
Prosi, aby ten ostatni tekst Dantyszek przeczytał, poprawił i uzupełnił wspólnie z Cornelisem [De Schepperem], o ile ten będzie obecny.

Correspondenz des Kaisers Karl V. Aus dem königlichen Archiv und der Bibliothèque de Bourgogne zu Brüssels. Erster Band 1513-1532, ed. by Karl Lanz, Leipzig, F.A. Brockhaus, 1844 ⌊Lanz 1844cf. In this letter, the Pope does not address the Emperor Dilecte Fili, while he gives this designation to German princes. Boehmer’s reference seems wrong. Valdés possibly means a non extant papal bull for Dantiscus in connection with his nomination for the bishopric of Kulm. The nomination was decided in Rome 1530-08-03 (Cf. cf. [2 ] It seems probable that ratio rerum in hac urbe gestarum cum Lutheranis is a text published at the end of 1530 by Lieven Algoet, entitled cf. Imperial privilege for printing was issued for Lieven Algoet and countersigned by Alfonso de Valdés. Benjamin Wiffen (rightly in my opinion) supposed that it was Valdés, who actually wrote the booklet (cf. cf. Benjamin B. Wiffen, Life and writings of Juán de Valdés, otherwise Valdesso, Spanish reformer in the sixteenth century, ed. by John Thomas Betts, London, 1865 ⌊
