Adresat pozna treść rekomendacji Dantyszka dla rady miasta Elbląga z jego listu do biskupa krakowskiego [Samuela Maciejowskiego]. Pewne osoby oczerniają ją przed królem [Zygmuntem Augustem], mimo że nie wyrządzała nikomu szkody i nie uchylała się od wymierzania sprawiedliwości. Szersze informacje o bezpodstawnych zarzutach adresat uzyska od posłów wysłanych do Krakowa na pogrzeb króla [Zygmunta I]. Dantyszek zwraca się z prośbą o obronę rajców przed ich przeciwnikami, aby miasto mogło zachować łaskę królewską.
