Agostino Dati (*1420 – †1478), Italian orator, historian and philosopher. Author of Isagogicus libellus pro conficiendis epistolis et orationibus (later reprinted as Elegantiarum libellus). He was praised by Erasmus as one of the Italian masters of eloquence (CE, vol. 1, p. 378 (Egmont LEE, "Agostino Dati"))
