Letter #3865

[Ioannes DANTISCUS] to Bona Sforza
Heilsberg (Lidzbark Warmiński), 1539-03-03

English register:

Dantiscus listened carefully to all that Fabian Wojanowski told him. He assures the Queen [Bona Sforza] that he has always zealously fulfilled everything she demanded. He regrets that the Queen, prejudiced against him, believes that all letters from the councillors of Royal Prussia are written at his bidding. Dantiscus trusts that time will reveal the truth and the Queen will return to her earlier, more favourable opinion of him.
