Letter #378

Cornelis DE SCHEPPER to Ioannes DANTISCUS
Zaragoza, 1527-10-18

English register:

After an eventful journey De Schepper is back in Spain. His last letter was not sent. De Schepper will make up for that with his presence in person. His stay in Italy was a series of hardships and setbacks. The Germanic opulence of Dantiscus' hospitality will make him forget the poor reception in Italy. In return, he promises plenty of tall tales.

Dantiscus' last letter reached him intact, after it had fallen into the hands of pirates. De Schepper wants to be recommended to their mutual friends, esp. the Vice-Chancellor [Balthasar Merklin von Waldkirch] and Alexander [von Schweiß].

            received Burgos, [1527]-10-26
