Non est mihi dubium, quia Reverendissima Dominatio Vestra ex morte sancti regis nostri, postea quam illi renuntiata est, luctum incredibilem hauserit, qui communis illi nobiscum fuit. Vellem, ut communis benefactoris nostri exequias praesentia sua cohonestaret, sed quando ad eam rem voluntate promptior est, quam facultate paratior factarum spero, maiestatem regiam ut excusationem illius boni consulat, utinam vero saltem ad unum hunc autem alterum mensem sublata. Deus vellet ea, per quae non licet Reverendissimae Dominationi Vestrae extremum hoc officium sancto parenti nostro praestare. Si qua possem arte medica, quicquid est, hoc morbi illius sanare, nihil est, quod facerem libentius, nam quod Reverendissima Dominatio Vestra idem et ego cuperem vehementer, ut mutuo inter nos colloquio frui nobis liceret. Cetera scribet ex mandato meo doctor Hosius et ea mittet, quae sibi Reverendissima Dominatio Vestra mitti postulat. Quam diu felicem valere opto meque illius fraterno amori commendo.
