Ioannes DANTISCUS to Tiedemann GIESE
Heilsberg (Lidzbark Warmiński), 1538-04-11

English register:

Dantiscus is gradually regaining his strength after being ill and hopes to bless the Chrism in eight days. He does not know, however, if he can manage to be at the [Royal Prussian] Diet.

He is keeping Doctor Nicolaus [Copernicus] with him until he feels stronger.

He is sending his faithful servant the Marshal [Paweł Koss] to Giese, he recommends him as well as the nobleman accompanying him.
