Letter #1626

[Ioannes DANTISCUS] to Cornelis DE SCHEPPER
Löbau (Lubawa), 1537-04-14

English register:

Dantiscus is entrusting Carolus de Tautenberg to De Schepper’s care. He gives a high opinion of Tautenberg, who is leaving him after five years’ service. He is also giving him a letter of reference to the Queen of Hungary [Mary of Habsburg, sister of Emperor Charles V], who had previously recommended Tautenberg to Dantiscus in Brussels. Dantiscus expects that Tautenberg will tell De Schepper about his current affairs.
