Reverendissime Domine, domine colendissime. Post servitutis meae commendationem.

Casu quodam evenit, ut se mihi, id quidem desideranti, materia ad Reverendissimam Dominationem Vestram scribendi offerret, nam dum hac hebdomada quidam mercator Florentinus litteras Hispano vulgari scriptas inter eundum invenisset nesciretque, cui inscriptae forent, illas aperuit et mihi ostendit. Agnovi mox titulum, licet obscurum, reliqua ex pauculis verborum sententiis, quae in litteris habentur, Reverendissimam Dominationem Vestram mihi declararunt eam esse, cui epistula scribebatur, quam ita, uti erat, acceptam Reverendissimae Dominationi Vestrae mitto, ne ex mora et tabellarii incuria aliquid orphanae illae, de qua scribit, eveniat detrimenti. Placuit mihi ex illis hoc intellexisse, quod Reverendissimam Dominatio Vestra, quemadmodum pro principibus suis, ita et in re propria nec tempus nec laborem perdidit exstantque varia ac viva gestorum suorum monumenta. Sed haec ioco et cum nemine altero praeter Reverendissimam Dominationem Vestram, quam unice amo et observare cupio.

Praeterea, mi Reverendissime Domine, sciat, quod ille, qui coadiutor Varmiensis esse voluit, scriptis suis hunc et illum contra Vestram Reverendissimam Dominationem sollicitat, ut in electione negotium suum inficere possit, quod facturum sperat, fretus nonnullorum loquacium assistentia. Itaque curare velit rem suam, praecipue in conciliandis sibi canonicorum Varmiensium votis, nam factu possibile est, quod in contrarium Reverendissimae Dominationis Vestrae eligent potius quemcumque ex nominatis per regiam maiestatem alium quam Vestram Dominationem Reverendissimam, iam enim iste subodoravit, quod ipse ad preces Vestrae Dominationis non nominabitur, ideo alio animum suum flexit, quae amico animo scripta et plurimum faventi Reverendissima Dominatio Vestra boni consulat ac ita, ut decet, secreta habeat rebusque suis providere velit.

Nova hic prorsus nulla, praecipue de pace inter Ungariae reges. Hoc certum est, quod rex Romanorum pacem cum Turcho per suos oratores factam per dominia sua omnia publicari fecit.
