No puedo pensar que sea, syno q(ue), ya q(ue) se a mostrado ha los hazer, q(ue) deve tener hechos ya tantos, q(ue) a olvydado los primeros. Y si asi es, suplicole se acuerde que yo e sido e la primera, segun V(uest)ra Señoria me confesso y me tiene d muchas vezes dicho, q(ue) le mostre el camino y venero por donde se an de hazer. [1] Dantiscus left Spain for good in 1529. The editor knows of 9 letters from Isabel Delgada to Dantiscus from the years 1529-1537 that he could have received before March 16, 1537, but the latest of these is dated August 17, 1531. These letters contain requests for financial assistance and suggestions that the family come together again, but in none of them does Isabel Delgada propose entrusting her daughter to Dantiscus. Clearly, Dantiscus is referring here to letters unknown to us from the years 1531-37.
